Missing school for 2 days to bike🚲

Hello Bloggers, This is my 2nd blog today. I am blogging about Cycle safe. We did not actually miss 2 days of school. We just didn't do school work. This weekend my legs are probaly going to collapse after doing 2 whole days of biking and Friday winter sports. I will insert some pictures below with descriptions.

1.We started with a talk on Wednesday. About how to check a helmet is safe and also how to fit one.

2. Then while we were doing that the other instructers were checking our bikes. (if you had one)

3. Then we learnt our LLLL wich are Levers, (breaks) Lean, Leg, Look.

There is no photos.

4.We also learnt ABBC A for Air B for breaks the other B for bolts and C for chain. 

Then we did some games.

On Thursday we went on a road ride. Sadly there was no photos of the road ride. When we were out on the road we stoped at some areas, were we took turns practicing turning on and on to a side road. We also did practice at T intersections. That is all for today.

Hello Bloggers, This time I am doing the home learning blog for this week. This term they have pretty much made them similar to last term. If you want to change them up in a way, for next term you could give me some suggestions. So I have started another book not so long ago. It is like my other book report. If you scroll down in my blog you might find my other book report.

I also did some research about this book and I found this photo.

I think that this book is pretty good. I enjoyed it a lot.  It is where Vicki Tames a pony from the wild off the mountians. Then her and the pony won lots of ribbons at her first show.

Imagine you live under water

Hello Bloggers, Yesterday we wrote a story about this picture below.We had to use our 5 senses wich are Hear, See, Smell,Taste and touch. We also had to use Personafication, Simlies, Sets of 3 adjectives and more. But I kinda diddnt use to many of them. So here is my story. In the blue is the story starter.
I was the only person who had taken notice of the warning. A great flood had swept over the planet, and now my life was very different…

Quite different, so different that I no longer

heard the sound of birds twittering on the

sunny mornings, or the dogs barking at the

dog park. I only heard water smashing

against the glass like the sound of a lion

roaring. Day after day I could only smell

the stuffy air that was trapped in this big

glass house. The smoky fire starts too

burn than that minute I could suddenly

smell smoke. Although the fire was

keeping me warm the smell was horrible.

I was hungry so hungry that I had so

much food in the cupboard that I wanted

too go and fill myself up. But I couldn't

other wise I would have no food left.

Unless there is a fish food deliverer,

or something stupid like that. I started

too get cold. I wanted too go inside

too get a jersey but my house was

probably too dangerous too go inside

of so I stayed outside in my backyard

and sat by the fire.

Later that day a fish swam up too the tank

I think the fish was attracted too the fire

and the stayed there for a while. The fish

was as shiny as a Yellow star the  glisend

in the light I stared too tall too him. I felt I

finally had a friend I asked him if he knew

were a supermarket or a food store is

because I NEED more food. He swam

over too a different side of the tank I

walked over too it and poked it…

It was a door AHH! A door handle popped out

 I jumped it shook the tank round and round.

I opened the door Water came in but then it

disappeared the ocean water got even lower

I closed the door in a hurry.

9 Because I got the pony in the picture above. Her name is Carly But it is actually spelt Callie. We figgured it out the other day when we shaved her. We also figured out that Carly is a champion winner. Now I will do Isla's Stuff.

THE BEST PEICE OF YEAR 5 WRITING!!!! you will ever see.

Hey bloggers, Its me again This week if you havent all ready seen on the class blog, what we have been doing for witing. I did that today on Hana's work and I thought it was amazing. So I am going to post it.

She had found it lying alone, deserted, abandoned in the attic.
After making the discovery, Anna had gazed and marvelled
at it for some time. Where had it come from? Why had no dust
settled upon it, as it had done over everything else that
resided in her attic? A layer of the thick dust blanketed
the attic floor, and as the sunlight glared through the attic
windows, the dust particles yet to settle were illuminated
as they danced in the stuffy air. Yet, the mirror looked
flawless, untouched by age, not a finger print in sight.

Anna propped the mirror up against one of the thick,
timber beams that jutted from the attic floor. Settling
down into a comfortable position, she tentatively
placed a finger against the glass. Ripples started
to appear from the mirror. The sleek, slick moves
of the ripples tenderly touched her finger. She
cautiously pulled her finger back towards her. She
felt like she was having a dream. Then, she repeated.
Again, and again, and again .It was as if it were water
on the other side. Or perhaps another world awaited
her. Suddenly, Anna Picked up her braveness, and
lightly stepped into the magical world. Although, she
Tried to step into the magical world. She searched
for a solid place to rest her foot on. Anna carefully
placed her fingertips of the brown shiney frame of
the mirror. But then, the mirror started to slide, inch
by inch onto the dark wood, covered in dust just like
everything else in this gloomy, dark, mysterious attic,
it make a sudden movement, it knocked her inside the
mirror. She closed her eyes.

Sudden darkness appeared. Eventually, little lights started
to appear. They looked like shimmery glow worms.
They were pink, purple, and blue. She looked down.
There was a faint light down the bottom. Although
she was falling, endlessly, she didn’t feel scared.
She felt curious. she looked up. Her heartbeat
was at a nice, slow steady rate. She drew herself
closer the these mysterious lights on the walls.
She looked around to see if she was alone but
all she could see was the lights, and nothing else.
She twirled around in the endless fall. Anna turned
around. She heard something. It sounded like it was
coming from underneath her. After, the faint light wasn't
faint anymore. What was it? After a while, it started to
rapidly get closer and closer. Fear engulfed her and spread
like a wildfire. She closed her eyes tight and put her hands
over her eyes. She curled up into a ball. She picked up a
hint of bravery, and took a little peek. The scenery was different.

She opened her other eye, and looked down. She was

heading for a revene! There was a vast amount of mist
down there, as far as the eye could see. Suddenly, she
felt something grab her hand. It felt warm. All of her fear
was completely swallowed by relief. She looked up to see
a man, heaving her up. Finally, after one last heave, she
was up. Anna first looked down at her certain death, and
then looked up, at her saviour. It was a man, with sky blue
eyes, so dreamy you could get lost in them. He had pale
skin and brown hair. He wore a shiney, leather belt. Little
potions hung from it. He was wearing a feathery cloak
around his shoulders with a green T-shirt underneath.
He said his name was Dale. Dale Yee. Anna told him
her name was Anna Smith. He was surprised when he
heard her name. He asked her to repeat. And she said
again, Anna Smith. He jumped back in even more surprise.

Toothpick Squares

Welcome back bloggers, Today I will be blogging about the title(Get it  Hahahaha:) So what I'm actualy going to be blogging about is MATH!!! Some of you might be thinking Ahhhhhhh!!! but no not MATH!!!! Fun MATH YAAAAAAY!!! I know you probaly arnt still convinsed but oh well. Now, First the Toothpick squares, Here are the instructions Ripeka and Jan were sitting around playing with toothpicks when Ripeka started to make a pattern of squares.

1. How many squares did Ripeka make with 25 toothpicks?=6 and 1 line
2. How many toothpicks would Jan need to make a pattern like this that had 9 squares?=32

Challenge: If Nikau tried another pattern with the toothpicks what is the smallest number of toothpicks he would need to make 9 squares all the same size? Add in a new slide to show your working out. Here is mine.
